Pac-Man Nail Art Tribute

When I think of the 80's I think about teased hair, happy music, and Pac-Man. The Japan based arcade game was introduced to the U.S.A in 1980 through the company, Midway Games. Pac-Man features a yellow circular character as the protagonist with no other distinguishable traits other than having a large mouths and being extremely hungry.
The object of the maze game is for the player to use their joystick to guide Pac-Man to eat the tiny dots or "Pac-dots" in their path while also avoiding the four ghost characters by the names of Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde who serve as antagonists of the game.

If a ghost were to touch Pac-Man it would result in losing a life and having to start the game over. Pac-man's defense against the ghosts is to eat one of the larger Pac-dots or a fruit piece which gives Pac-man the power to eat the ghosts. A level is completed once all of the dots are eaten and then a new maze is introduced. The ghost are only edible once they turn a royal blue.

Legend has it that the game was designed to be never ending and that once a player gets to the supposed "last level", the game begins to glitch.
The elusive level 256 glitch.
This game is part of the golden age of arcade games and is one of the longest running arcade games to date. You can try your luck here with this classic.

I have great memories as a child of playing Pac-man often at local pizza parlors where the game was built into tables. A pocketful of quarters and a pizza was all it took to have a good evening.

My nail tribute today does it's best to honor this 80's staple by featuring the maze on my manicure. I have billions of rhinestones in my new nail art set which I made use of for the cherries.
I also used nail tape to create the lines of the maze. I used a dotting tool for the Pac-dots and a few
brushes from this nail kit.

I've got a video below. Happy Friday!
